STAFF BALL

SOUTH WAIRARAPA BRANCHES OF W.F.C.A. LTD. GATHERING AT GREYTOWN ■ (“Times-Age” Special.) The staff ball held last night by the South Wairarapa branches of the W.F.C.A. Ltd in the Greytown Town Hall proved to be a happy and enjoyable gathering. The guests of the evening were Mr and Mrs J. H. Cunningham, Mr and Mrs F. E. Wells, and Mr and Mrs G. Daubney. Visitors were also present from the Wellington and other branches of the firm. The Town Hall was brightly and effectively decorated in purple and gold. Te Tau’s orchestra supplied the music and extras were played by the W.F.C.A. Masterton Orchestra. Mr W. Dunn was an able M.C., and everything went off most smoothly, thanks to the efficient work of the joint secretaries, Miss M. McAlpine and Mr K. Nix, and the members of the committee. The supper was a special feature, the ladies’ committee attending to the arrangements being Mesdames Best, Peterson, Jewell, Kilgour, Lyford and Dauber.
