RACES AT CAULFIELD
MEMSIE STAKES WON BY AJAX. MELBOURNE, September 4. Results at the Caulfield races held on Saturday included:— Memsie Stakes, w.f.a., with penalties and allowances. —Ajax, 9.7 (Badger) 1; The Trump, 9.7 (A. Reed) 2; Aitchengee, 9.1 (Elliott) 3. All started. Ajax was never off the bit and won comfortably. Two lengths and a half, Aitchengee a head away third. Elanage was last. Time, 1.52|. Midacre was unplaced in the Sandringham Steeplechase. Only One was second in the Second Division of the Doona Trial, while Panipan and Document were unplaced in the first and second divisions respectively.
