COMING-OF-AGE PARTY

ENJOYABLE FUNCTION AT REWANUI To celebrate the coming-of-age of their daughter, Anne, Mr and Mrs R. Liver ton held an enjoyable dance at their residence, “Rewanui,” Masterton, recently. More than 50 guests enjoyed dancing in the drawing and dining-rooms, which, with folding doors thrown back, were converted into an excellent ball-' room. Mrs Liverton received the guests wearing a brown taffeta frock. She was assisted .by her daughter, Mrs B. O’Connor, who wore blue lace. Miss Anne Liverton wore a picture frock of turquoise blue. A feature of the supper was the pink, birthday cake, with its 21 blue candles. Miss Liverton was presented with the symbolic gold key, and the usual toasts were honoured. Among those present were Mr and Mrs Hugh Morrison, Mr and Mrs James Andrew, Mr and Mrs Laird Meredith, Mrs. Coradine, Miss Stillburn, Mrs Beattie, Mr and Mrs Percy Welsh, Mr and Mrs J. H.: James, Mr and Mrs Lett,- Mr and Mrs de Castro, Misses Francis Beauchamp (Wellington), Margaret Baxter (Heretaunga), Jean Groves, Edna Dagg, Joy Beattie, Elizabeth Burns, Jessie Lett, Betty Ryan; Messrs Jack Groves, Victor Hibbard, John and Alec Burns, Tom and Ted O’Connor, Savage, Billy Stilburn, Bob Ryan, lan and Roy Shaw.
