HARRIER ACTIVITIES

KIATERE CLUB A TRAINING RUN On Saturday, the Kiatere Harrier Club, indulged in a long training run, having in the view the 10 mile championship race next Saturday. The course of about nine miles comprise paddocks and road. As soon as the main highway was reached, from the power station a run-in was held, this being about two miles. Next week’s run will be held at the Masterton Park, where the annual ten mile race will be held under the control of the Masterton Harrier Club.

MASTERTON CLUB. SUTHERWOOD CUP. The Masterton and Napier Harrier Clubs met at Masterton on Saturday in a contest for the Sutherwood Cup, Masterton winning by 6 points to 28 points The first runners home were: —G. Gregory and R. Shaw (Masterton), 29 min. 19secs., dead heat, 1; T. O’Dowd (Masterton), 30.21, 2; G. Frederickson (Masterton), 30.28, 3; L. Hatch (Napier), 30.47, 4.
