WAIRARAPA SHOW
WIDE RANGE OF CLASSES. SCHEDULES NOW AVAILABLE. Schedules for the 1938 Wairarapa Show are now available and may be obtained ‘free on application to the secretary, Mr L. H. Smart, P.O. Box 25, Carterton. As usual the schedule has been thoroughly revised and is very complete. Classes are provided for all breeds of stock,, including a full schedule for Kennel Club dogs, also for butter, cheese, cooking, sewing and - fancywork, schools, cooking, sewing, knitting, writing and other work. Additions this year include a consolation jump on People’s Day, a full range of classes for Ryeland and Cheviot sheep, a class for a pen of two ram hoggets in the wool (natural condition Ronmey) and another for four crossbred ewe hoggets bred and reared on hill country. In the pig section the local baconer class will also be judged on the hooks at Waingawa. Several new challenge cups and special prizes have been donated. The prizes throughout are generous. Breeders and others, in view of competition from the Royal Show, will no doubt rally to the support of this old established and popular society, and make the Wairarapa Show an outstanding success.
