WEEK-END ANNIVERSARY SERVICES The Salvation Army will be celebrating its 54th Anniversary during' the coming weekend, and a most interesting series of services has been arranged. Major Armstrong and Commandant Clark will be the special speakers. On Saturday night the Palmerston North Salvation Glee Party will give an attractive programme. On Sunday morning at 7, a sun-rise prayer meeting will be held in the Park. The usual services will be held at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. At the afternoon service, Commandant Tom Clark, a converted drunkard and gambler will give his life story. Sunday night’s service will feature a Maori church parade, when a number of Maoris will be in attendance. Major Armstrong, who worked amongst the Maoris in the earlier days of the Army, will speak during the service. The Palmerston -> * North Salvation Army Glee Party will be heard at each service, also the Sisters Kirk, the sweet Gospel duettists. On Monday night the Hamua Maori, Glee Party will contribute items, after which a cornish pastie supper will be served.
