AUGUST DEATHS
HIGH FIGURE TOUCHED IN MASTERTON A marked increase in August deaths is disclosed in the vital statistics for the month, made available by the Masterton Magistrates’ Court today. In August of last year, nine deaths were recorded while the total for the same month this year was 20. Twenty-six births were registered in August of last year. For the same month this year the total was 22. The number of marriages, seven, was the same in August of both years.
