MEETING OF WAIRARAPA EXECUTIVE. PROPOSED APPOINTMENT OF WELFARE OFFICER. . A meeting of ‘the executive committee of the Wairarapa branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society was held yesterday afternoon. A letter of appreciation for the assistance granted to a crippled boy was received. It was reported that a crippled girl had been admitted to the Masterton Public Hospital for treatment. - It was resolved that the services of a bootmaker be obtained to teach bootrepairing tr a crippled youth. Consideration was given to the appointment of a part-time 'welfare officer, who would visit all crippled children at regular intervals. Discussion was adjourned until the next meeting, when further information will be available.
