HORTHY AVOIDS RASH PROMISES HITLER’S FRONTIER PLEDGE ACCEPTED. NO UNDERTAKING TO LEAVE LEAGUE. (Recd This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON. August 26. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent says it is generally believed that Admiral Horthy, the Hungarian Regent, who has gone to Nuremberg, succeeded in leaving Berlin without committing Hungary irrevocably to the German camp. He takes Herr Hitler’s frontier promise, buFhas not been prevailed on to leave the League of Nations and join the anti-Commintern Pact.
