MAIL ROBBERY IN PALESTINE LARGE SUM IN NOTES STOLEN (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 17. The Colonial Office announced that two armed men in Nablus yesterday robbed a postal employee of a mailbag for Jerusalem. It contained, among other things, £2OOO in notes consigned by registered post from Barclay’s Bank, Nablus, to Barclay’s Bank, Jerusalem. An armed party estimated at 30 men penetrated Nablus urban police station and stole four rifles and some ammunition.
