FEATHERSTON
QUERY CLUB MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Sunday evening members of the Query Club took part in the service conducted by the Rev R. S. Keenan at the Presbyterian Church. The Lessons were read by Mr R. Skipage and Mr R. Sadler. A duet was sung by Mesdames Anderson, and Houston, with Mrs Arch Clark at the organ. It is the intention of the club to attend Divine service once a month at the various churches, alternately. - PERSONALS. Mr and Mrs F. S. Hood, Kahutara, have returned from a weekend visit to Woodville. Misses M. Lawson, C. Hardie, J. McKenzie, B. Rowles and J. (Hatton are home for the term holidays. Mr and Mrs Alan Burt, who have been touring in the north, have returned home and have taken up their residence in South Featherston. MINIATURE RIFLES. A match was fired on the Featherston range on Saturday night between a team from the Wellington Harbour Board Miniature Rifle Club and the Featherston Club- for a handsome Challenge Cup, presented by Mr J. Moriarty, and resulted in a win for Featherston by 7 points. The scores were •>as follow: —Featherston: J. Brash 100, lan Feast 99, C. J. Nix 99, K. McKenzie 97, A. Hodder 97, W. Johnson 96, A. Reid 96, A. Cook '95: total, 779. Harbour Board: R. H. Nichol 99, J. Ritchie 98, B. Moss 97, T. Marshall 97, E. Shehan 96, T. McGill 95, J. McGill 95, J. Kemp 95; total, 772. The trophy is to be competed for annually at Featherston and Wellington alternately. The visitors were afterwards entertained to supper at the Oddfellows’ Hall.
