Sutherland 93, 23, 70; H. W. Blundell 94, 24, 70; R. H. Lawrence 91, ,20, 71; A. B. Martin 96, 24, 72. Handicap adjustments.—L. W. Frank 11 to 9; D. McConnell 14 to 13; W. Whitehorn 20 to 18; D. J. Flynn 24 to 22; D. K. Sutherland 23 to 22. DAFFODIL SOCIETY. The annual meeting of the Daffodil Society was held on Friday last in the Plunket Rooms. Mrs W. J. Martin presided over a fair attendance including members of the Women’s Institute Garden Circle to whom a special welcome was extended. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs W. J. Martin; vicepresident, Mrs Blundell; secretary and treasurer, Miss C. Taylor; committee, Mesdames Pain, McAlpine, J. Martin, Misses Dymes and C. Martin. September 9 was fixed as the date of the show and stewards and judges were appointed. Bulbs were supplied by the society to 21 members who had never shown before, and a special class for these has been added to the schedule. Great enthusiasm was shown by those present and a very successful show should result. INTERESTING TRAVEL TALK. Mrs Jolly, of .Martinborough, gave an interesting talk on a trip through Holland at a meeting of the Carterton Women’s Institute last week. She .was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and was presented with a shoulder spray.
