Mr T. W. Graham, of Masterton, is giving a lecture at Pahiatua tonight on: his experiences in the East. The Rt Hon M. J. Botts, instructor in geography at the State Normal and Training, Cortland, New York, is expected to arrive at Auckland early in September to fill a temporary exchange position at the Auckland Teachers’ Training College. The death occurred on Saturday night of Mr Robert George Firth, aged 79, says a Press Association message from Wanganui. For many years he was in charge of the Wanganui Museum before the new building, was erected eight years ago. The Rev G. V. Gerard, Auckland, bishop-elect of Waiapu, has been invited to attend the annual meeting in Wellington of the New Zealand Anglican Board of Missions. All the bishops of the Anglican Church in New Zealand are expected to be 'present at the. meeting. ( The death of Sir Landon Ronald, the noted conductor and composer, is reported in a cablegram from London. Born in 1873, Sir Landon Ronald had been Principal of the Guildhall School of Music since 1910, and conductor of the Royal Albert Hall Orchestra (now the New Symphony Orchestra) since 1908. He was the composer of many songs and orchestral works.
