STOCK MARKET
MARTINBOROUGH SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on the Martinborough sale held yesterday as folows: —A small yarding of sheep and a fair one of dairy cows and heifers were offered to a small attendance. Bidding was slow throughout and a somewhat dragging sale resulted although prices generally were on a par with sales elsewhere. The cows and heifers offered on account of J. ABeveridge came forward in splendid order and were all close to profit. Prices realised were as follow: —Good b.f. hoggets, 18s; others, 16s; w.f to ewe hoggets, 17s; b.f. 2-ths., 20s 3d; heifers, £7 to £7 12s 6d; cows, £8 10s to £9 10s; sows to'farrow, £5 10s to £5 15s; yearling Tamworth boar, £2.
