WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT RANGITUMAU. The usual meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at the residence of Mrs D. James, Miss A. Harvey presiding. The competitions resulted as follows: —Knitted garment, Miss I. Harvey 1, Miss E. Duckett 2. Nut loaf: Mrs C. Macdonald 1, Mrs E. T. Wilton 2. Each member brought a 6d surprise parcel. Mrs J. L. Murray judged the competitions, and Miss Harvey, on behalf of the branch, thanked. Mrs Murray and presented her with a very pretty shoulder spray. Mrs James and Miss Duckett were the hostesses. A vote of thanks to Mrs James for her hospitality was carried by acclamation.
