The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: —We held our weekly sale yesterday when we had a fair yarding of sheep and cattle, which was submitted to the usual attendance. Good fat ewes showed a slight improvement as did store hoggets and ewes in lamb. Following were the prices obtained:— Sheep: Fat ewes, 19s 6d; fat wethers, 245; wether hoggets, 18s Id; medium ewe hoggets, 18s; 2-th. wethers, 225. Cattle: ,Agcd cows on drop, £4 12s 6d to £5. WRIGHT STEPHENSON & CO. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—We held • .vr Masterton sale yesterday when only a small entry came fi.iv/ard. Fats were slightly firmer, due possibly to the short entry. There was more animation in the bidding on store sheep. We made a clearance as under: —Fat ewes, 19s 4d to 19s 7d; cull ewes, 8s to 9s;.w.w. hoggets, 16s 8d; springing cows, £5; fat heifer, £4 17s 6d; weaner pigs, 18s.
