(Reed This Day, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, August 2. “The Times” Hendaye correspondent says warfare is general throughout Spain. The rivers Ebro and Guardiana are running with blood. Loyalist reports indicate that the real struggle is about to begin. ,Their army on the right bank of the Ebro is pressing hard towards Gandesa. The rebels’ lines must be stabilised before the attack on Sagunto can be resumed. ITALIAN LOSSES. OFFICIAL STATEMENT. (Recd This Day, 10.20 a.m.) ROME, August 2. It is officially stated that Italian losses in Spain between July 13 and July 24 were 27 officers killed, one missing and 140 wounded; 205 of other ranks killed and 1.473 wounded.
