STOCK PRICES

SOME IMPROVEMENT SHOWN. TODAY’S MASTERTON SALE. There was a fair yarding of sheep at the weekly Masterton stock sale this morning. Prices for good fat ewes were a little better, but fat wethers remained on a par with last week. Good breeding ewes and hoggets also showed an improvement. Store wethers were firm on late rates. Following are the prices:—Fat ewes, 19s 4d, 19s 7d to 225; fat wethers, 23s 3d to 245; store wethers, 225; m.a. ewes in lamb, 335; b.f. hoggets, 13s 6d; w.f.w. hoggets, 18s; small ewe hoggets, 17s 6d.
