MARTINBOROUGH

FOOTBALL TEAM BEATEN. V. (“Times-Age” Special.) The team fielded by Martinborough against Old Boys on Saturday was not up to senior standard. Although in the first half while Martinborough’s form held the play was fairly even. The second half saw the Old Boys throwing the ball about and their passing rushes generally ended in a try. A noticeable feature of the game was the absence of kicking for the line. Centre kicking and fast following up made the game fast and interesting to watch. Mr W. Holland was referee.
