BRIDE-TO-BE
GUEST OF HONOUR AT PARTIES. Mrs L. T. Blatchford, in conjunction with Mrs Arch Wyeth and Mrs Roy Tankersley, entertained a large number of friends at her home at Lansdowne recently in honour of their niece, Miss Rona Blatchford, whose marriage will take place at the end of the month. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent with various competitions, and after afternoon tea had been served Miss Blatchford was called upon to accept a nice collection of kitchen and pantry utensils. At another party given by the Solway College Old Girls at the home of Miss Jean Douglas, Miss Blatchford was asked to accept a beautiful piece of crystal, with the best wishes of the Old Girls’ Association for future happiness. A gift afternoon was given for Miss Blatchford by Miss Joyce Wyeth at her home, Mount Bruce, when a large number of girl friends gathered to wish the bride-to-be sucoess and happiness in her future life.
