GOLF CLUB GAMES. (“Times-Age” Special.) A Stableford bogey handicap played on Saturday resulted as follows: — Senior: L. W. Frank, score 27, handicap 8, total 35; W. Martin 29-5-34; J. T. L. Pike 27-7-34. Junior.—M. S. Francis 18-17-35; S. Ussher 16-18-34; W. J. Knell 15-18-33; N. Martin 15-18-33. Handicap adjustment: S. Ussher, 30 to 25. Ladies’ Stableford bogey handicap results:—Miss Blundell 9-18-27; Miss Mitchell 7-18-25; Miss Sievers 6-18-24. DEATH OF MR. C. F. McALLUM. The death occurred at Martinborough on Saturday of Charles Fenwick McAllum, Daniel Street, Martinborough. The late Mr McAllum was assistant clerk to the Featherston County Council until June 1921, when he was appointed clerk. He retired in March 1932, and was succeeded by Mr H. Hardinge. Mr McAllum was also clerk of the Kahutara River Board and of the Martinborough-Featherston Cemetery Trust. He leaves a widow and two sons and a daughter. The sons are Messrs Chas, and Gordon, both in the employ of the Union Bank, the former at Wellington and the latter at Christchurch. The daughter, Miss Joy McAllum, resides .at Martinborough. Deceased was a prominent member of the Anglican church and was a good worker in its interests. The funeral of the late Mr McAllum took place yesterday morning. The pall-bearers were: Messrs W. B. Martin, Geo. Willis, M. Perry. A. Pike, H. Hardinge, and O. Grant. A service was held in St. Andrew’s Church after which the remains were taken to the Crematorium, Karori. SCHOOLBOYS AT FOOTBALL The boys of the Secondary Department, journeyed to Masterton on Saturday to play against the Wairarapa College second fifteen. After a fast and interesting game College was successful, the final score being—College 9 (3 tries), Martinborough. 6 (2 tries. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. There was a good attendance at the euchre tournament of the Women’s Division of the Labour Party held in the supper room of the Town Hall on Friday night. The winners were:— Ladies: Mrs T. Fisher, 1; Mrs Whitehead, 2. Men: Mr Sam Houghton, 1; Mr T. King, 2.
