HUNT FOR TERRORISTS
BIGGEST IN THE HISTORY OF SHANGHAI POLICE AND TROOPS CAST WIDE NET THOUSAND SUSPECTS DETAINED. SHANGHAI, July 7. The biggest terrorist hunt in the city’s history, including raids on hotels, shops, homes, cabarets and theatres, marked the anniversary of the outbreak of war. The police stopped cars and trams, and mobilised all the Settlement forces, including Japanese troops, the Seaforth Highlanders, Russian volunteers and American Marines, and detained a thousand suspects.
