WEDDING

McGARRY—MARSH. The marriage took place at St. Patrick's Church, Masterton, this morning of Irenine Louise Marsh, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Marsh, Worksop Road, Masterton, and Mervyn Robert McGarry, only son of Mr and Mrs R. McGarry, of Morison’s Bush. The ceremony was conducted by Father N. Moore, who also celebrated Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white shimmer satin cut’ on classical lines, the back falling in a long train and finished with small satin buttons from neck to waist. Her veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and her bouquet was composed of scarlet anemones, camelias and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Nedda Hubball, was attired in a frock of gold shimmer satin with neck corsage and full skirt, trimmed with red buttons and with which was worn a scarlet sash. She had shoes to match and wore a halo of flowers, and carried a sheaf of red anemones, caipelias and maidenhair fern. The best man was Mr Darcy Tillyard. On leaving the church the bride was presented with two lucky horseshoes, one by Dawn Marsh (a niece of the bride) and the other by Ray Mclntosh (a niece of the bridegroom). The reception was held at the Empire Hotel, the guests being received by Mrs Marsh, who wore a navy blue ensemble. She was assisted by Mrs McGarry, who wore black with accessories to tone.
