SALE OF YEARLINGS
4 A CARTERTON PURCHASE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A sale of Australian-bred yearlings, the property of Mr C. Hamilton, Sydney, was held 'at Trentham yesterday. Top price of 525gns was realised for the bay colt by Caledon from Isalon, who was bought by Mr J. Baker, Morrinsville. Mr R. B. Hines, Te Aroha, paid 450gns for the Brazen-Ridicule colt and Mr W. H. Barton, Matamata, secured the Spearhead—Silo colt for 200gns, and the Caledon—Sandra filly for 215gns. The Brazen —Irolene filly went to Mr F. C. Christie, Hyde, for 230gns . A brown filly by Constant Sun from Lady Cynosure was bought by Mr H. E. Martin, Christchurch, for 400 gns. The seven-year-old Royal Divorce — Musical Moment gelding Sundar was sold on account of Mr A. F. Atkins to Mr R. Thompson, Carterton, for 25gns.
