ROAD SAFETY

MOVE BY MASTERTON MOTOR CYCLISTS. PATROLS APPOINTED. At a meeting of the Masterton Motor Cycle Sports Club, held last night, steps were taken to inaugurate a road safety campaign in an endeavour to minimise the number of accidents to motor cyclists on the roads. Traffic Inspector W. G. Milne was present and considerably assisted the club with valuable information and suggestions. Thanks were expressed to the inspector for his assistance. Several of the more experienced members of the club were appointed as road patrols, their object being to point out to the incompetent and less experienced riders their mistakes. It is hoped that the plan will prove as successful in the Wairarapa as it has been in other centres in New Zealand.
