SYDNEY GIRL’S DEATH
CAR ACCIDENT IN ARIZONA. COMPANION SUFFERS SERIOUS INJURIES. LOS ANGELES, June 27. Peggy Murray, aged twenty, probably of Sydney, was killed and a companion, Patricia Tebbutt, aged nineteen, of Sydney, was seriously injured in a motor-car accident thirty miles from Wickenburg, Arizona. The girls were touring the United States by car. Miss Murray died on the way to hospital. Miss Tebbutt is suffering from a fractured pelvis. A highway patrolman reported that a desert wind caused the car to swerve on a soft shoulder of the road, after which it toppled into a ditch.
