z A FAREWELL DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A dance in honour of Miss Betty Pryor, who will leave shortly to take up nursing in Palmerston North, was held in the Dyerville Hall last evening. The music was supplied by Miss Kitty Smith, and Mr Warren was M.C. On behalf of the Dyerville settlers, Mr J. C. Garrity presented Miss Pryor with a fountain pen, and a handbag, wishing her every success and happiness in her new life. Miss Pryor was also presented with a posy. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. The Radio Club’s euchre tournament was held last night. The winners were: Ladies: . Mrs Wilson 1. Mrs L. Boyd 2; men, Mr A. Wilton 1, Mr W. Blissett 2. - The ladies’ aggregate was won by Mrs A. Grimstone and the men’s by Mr W. McNally. CAKE COMPETITION. A cake competition held by the Girl Guides was won by Mrs Hugh Haycock. PERSONALS. Miss Brenda Bovey, of Wanganui, ts visiting her sister, Mrs Doug. Lamb, for a few days. Mrs Lumley is visiting Wellington. Miss Flo Smith, of Mangamaire, has returned home from visiting Mrs Warren, of Dyerville.
