BUGLE & DRUM BAND

CENTRAL SCHOOL BOYS APPEAR IN PUBLIC. The Masterton Central School’s recently formed Bugle and Drum Band made its first public appearance this morning, when the boys made a creditable showing as they marched along the street to the tune of their instruments. There are seventeen boys in the band, in charge of Drum-Major Knott. The boys were trained by Messrs R. J. Young (trumpets) and Osborne (drums) and the headmaster, Mr E. G. Coddington, has now taken over these duties. The instruments were provided by the Central School Parents’ Association.
