ANNUAL FARMERS’ UNION COMPETITION.

WAIRARAPA TEAMS DO WELL.

Wairarapa teams were well to the fore in the annual Farmers’ Union Rifle Competition held recently. Twenty teams competed from all parts of the Dominion. The Okato (Taranaki) team was placed first with 503 points and Bulls second with 491 points. The three Wairarapa teams (representing the Eketahuna and Alfredton districts) filled third, fourth, and sixth places, with totals of 484, 474 and 463 points respectively. The gold medal for the highest score registered outside the winning team was awarded to C. Rasmussen, of the Wairara\ta No. 1 team with 103.
