TOTAL OF WAIRARAPA APPEAL OVER £594
COMMITTEE’S FINAL MEETING
The Wairarapa appeal on behalf of sufferers'in the Hawke’s Bay flood resuited in a total of £594 19s 5d being raised. The final meeting of the Masterton Committee was held last night, when the balance sheet was presented.
The sale of a cake realised £l4 0s 6d, the winner being Mrs Eric Jones, Cooper Street, Lansdowne.
A doll has also been donated to the fund; and arrangements are now being made for its disposal. A request has been made by the Pahiatua sub-committee that its donation to the fund, £ll 12s, should be made available for residents of the Wairoa district.
