OBITUARY
mr john McAllister
The many friends of Mr John McAllister will regret to hear of his death which occurred at his residence, Millard Avenue, at an early hour this morning. The late Mr McAllister was the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs John McAllister, of Lower Shotover, Otago, and was 58 years of age. Prior to his illness he was caretaker of the Masterton saleyards and had many friends in the district, having been a resident in the Wairarapa for a number of years. The late Mr McAllister was associated with the Waingawa Ambulance Club for a number of years and was also a member of the Carterton Odd Fellows’ Lodge. A widow, one son. Gordon, of Hamilton, and a daughter. Miss Joan McAllister, Masterton. and one brother, Mr R. McAllister. Arrowtown, are left to mourn their loss.
The funeral will leave the residence. Millard Avenue, at 2.30 p.m. ori Friday, June 10, for the Masterton Cemetery.
