ALFREDTON SALE
MESSRS LEVIN & CO. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: —We held our supplementary sale at Alfredton on Saturday, when a yarding of 4500 ewes, wethers and lambs was oifered. The ewes came forward in good condition and met with keen competition. There was an outstanding line of 2-th. ewes ori account of Manawa Station, which topped the market in that section, realising 34s 3d. There was a good yarding of fat and forward wethers, which, at the commencement of the sale, were hard to quit under the hammer, but eventually a total clearance was effected at satisfactory prices. A very nice line of fat wethers on account of Mrs A. M. Rutherfurd topped the market at 265. As in previous sales, the market for lambs was not so keen. The following prices were realised: —6-yr. ewes, a/c H. N. Kebbell, 28s; Napier Bros., 225; 5 and 6-yr. ewes, a/c Kebbell Bros., 24s 6d; 5-yr. ewes, a/c H. N. Kebbell, 295; W.
