ALFREDTON SALE

MESSRS LEVIN & CO. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: —We held our supplementary sale at Alfredton on Saturday, when a yarding of 4500 ewes, wethers and lambs was oifered. The ewes came forward in good condition and met with keen competition. There was an outstanding line of 2-th. ewes ori account of Manawa Station, which topped the market in that section, realising 34s 3d. There was a good yarding of fat and forward wethers, which, at the commencement of the sale, were hard to quit under the hammer, but eventually a total clearance was effected at satisfactory prices. A very nice line of fat wethers on account of Mrs A. M. Rutherfurd topped the market at 265. As in previous sales, the market for lambs was not so keen.
