SUCCESSFUL BALL
MARTINBOROUGH YOUNG FARMERS.
A LARGE ATTENDANCE.
The Martinborough Town Hall was crowded to capacity with dancers from all parts of the district on Friday night when the Young Farmers' Club held its annual ball. The hall was artistically decorated with streamers and coloured lights and presented a most attractive scene. Every effort had been made by the organising committee to ensure the enjoyment of patrons and the outstanding success achieved was a fitting reward for their energy. Excellent music was supplied .by a Palmerston North orchestra, while the supper arrangements were of a high standard usually associated with Martinborough dances. Much of the success of the ball was due to the untiring work of the joint-secretaries, Mrs G. Hardie and Mr C. Sievers, who had the detail arrangements well in hand. The ladies’ committee was as follows: —Messrs T. McLaren, M. Hancox, N. Martin, D. Taylor, A. Barton, J. McLeod, C. McLeod, M .Ward, J. Hancox, J. Sievers, Mrs A. Chapman.
