MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The best scores in Friday night’s competition were: —Mrs Dempsey 65, Miss Smith 68, K. Wright 66, C. McCardle 66, W. George 66, A. George 67, D. Flynn 69, S. Davidson 66, W. Bain 65. Those who will shoot off for the May trophy are: —Mrs Davidson, Mrs Boyd, Messrs K. Wright, D. Flynn, W. George. The team to compete against Greytown next Tuesday, on the local range, will be as follows: —D. Flynn, C. McCardle, J. Brasell, S. Davidson, W. George, L. Cameron, J. Cowperthwaite, Mesdames Davidson, Dempsey, Boyd, Miss I. Smith, R. Amos, W. Bain, E. Findlay, A. George, K. Wright, E. Feist. PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs “Sandy” Chapman left on Saturday morning for a holiday in Tinapai, North Auckland. TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY. A very enjoyable party was held in the Radio Club rooms on Saturday evening, when Mr and Mrs A. McCardle entertained friends of their son, Cyril, who had reached the age of 21. Dancing and games resulted in a pleasant time being spent. Supper was served, and the health of Mr Cyril McCardle was proposed by Mr Bob Wright, and that of Mr and Mrs McCardle by Mr S. Boyd, both toasts being drunk with musical honours.
