ODD FELLOWS’ LODGE

QUARTERLY MEETING IN MASTERTON. The quarterly meeting of the Odd Fellows M.U. Lodge was presided over by Bro F. Knowles. The Lodge decided to enter one team in the Friendly Societies card tournament. Bro J. Harris was appointed captain. Members were notified that declaring on and off sick benefit certificates must be sent into the secretary within 48 hours, and that post or antedated certificates are against the rules. Members decided to arrange to pay a visit to sister lodges on Tuesday night next. All members who intend to make the trip are requested to notify the secretary. It was reported that the Friendly Societies Council was arranging a football match against North Wairarapa lodges at Eketahuna on the day that is to be celebrated as the King’s Birthday.
