PLUNKET SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING AT MAURICEVILLE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Mauriceville District Sub-Branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Mauriceville East Hall on Tuesday. Mrs R. Miller (president) presided over a good attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet was presented, and a vote of thanks was passed to the president and secretary for the same, and also to Mr O. Jones for having audited the balancesheet. The election of officers resulted in Mrs R. Miller being again elected president, and Mrs Alex. Donald secretary and treasurer. The vice-presidents are Mesdames I. Cameron, E. H. Dagg and A. Forsberg. Mrs T. F. Watson, of Masterton, was the chief speaker at the meeting, and gave a very interesting account of the beginning of Plunket work in Masterton, and was accorded a vote of thanks. A vote of thanks was passed to Nurse Humphries, who gave a demonstration of especial interest to the young mothers present. Afternoon tea was provided by the committee, and terminated a very pleasant afternoon.
