RIFLE SHOOTING COMPETITION. . (“Times-Age” Special.) The following were the best scores in the miniature rifle shooting held at the local range last night:—W. Bain, 65; W. George, 69; I. Howatt, 67; K. Wright, 65; Mrs Davidson, 65; E. Findlay, 66; E. Feist, 66; Mrs J. Boyd, 66. The team to shoot against Carterton at Carterton next week will be picked from the following:—Mrs Davidson, Mrs Dempsey, Mrs Boyd, Miss I. Smith, D. Flynn, C. McCardle, R. Amos, W. Bain, K. Wright, S. Davidson, L. Cameron, J. Brassell, E. Feist, J. Cowperthwaite, E. Findlay, A. George. PERSONAL ITEMS. ( Mrs A. B. Martin is visiting Rotorua. Mr Maurice McCarthy sailed by the Awatea on Wednesday for Australia. He is taking up a position with his brother Stanley.
