PEDIGREE SETTER
AN AUCKLAND PURCHASER. A pedigree English setter, which has won many prizes in Britain, has been bought from Mr Hazen Knox, the wellknown breeder, of Tweedwall Kennels, Berwick, by Major Laird, of Auckland. It is a blue Belton and tan dog, 12 months old, by the name of Fortune of Tweedvale, sired by Maesydd Minister out of Petal of Tolworth. In London, Fortune of Tweedvale won nine firsts and was the best dog in the show of all breeds. At Richmond Championship Show it was awarded three firsts and two seconds, and at Cheltenham two firsts and a second. At Middlesbrough it followed up these successes with two firsts and two seconds.
