HAMUA GOLF CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) In declaring the season open on Sunday the president of the Hamua Golf Club, Mr J. B. Carruthers, said that owing to the unfavourable weather the committee had been unable to get the greens in playing order before. They were now ready for play, and he hoped that the members would enjoy a good season of golf. During the afternoon a Canadian foursome was played, the winners being Mrs A. Morgan and Mr D. Bourke. RONGOMAI CARD TOURNEY. At the card tournament held at Rongomai on Saturday night the prize winners were: Ladies, Mrs L. Eagle 1; Mrs A. J. Perry 2. Men, Mr W. Evans 1; Mr Jim Evans 2. For the dance which followed the music was supplied by Messrs P. Jensen and L. Brannigan and Mrs Payne.
