AREAS FOR PARKING

SUGGESTION BY HIGHWAYS BOARD. USE OF OLD METALLED ROADS. “This does not enter much into our requirements here,” observed Councillor H. H. Mawley when referring at yesterday’s meeting of the Masterton County Council, to a suggestion by the Main Highways Board that in connection with the realignment of State and Main Highways, it would be an advantage if old metalled portions of road reserves were retained to allow disabled vehicles or others to park with safety. The board had approved of the general adoption of the suggestion and desired that it.be kept in mind when dealing with future reconstruction proposals.
