QUEEN CARNIVAL BALL. (“Times-Age” Special). The Ahzac Hall was well filled on Monday night for the Catholic Queen Carnival Masked Ball. Udy’s Orchestra supplied the music. Mr Duffy (Martihborough) acted as M.C., and also judged the waltzing competition. Miss M. McCleod (Featherston Queen) Wore a frock of pale blue taffeta. ' j“'- " The waltzing competition was won by Mr and Mrs Bryce Campbell; the Monte Carlo by Miss Bockett and Mrs Bimler, and the lucky spot by Miss G. Rae and Mr F. Cole. A committee of ladies was responsible for the dainty supper. PERSONAL. After a prolonged holiday in Christchilrch, Mrs C. W. Ritchie has returned home. Mr and Mrs Scott, Gore, are the guests of Mr and Mrs H. E. Pendegrast. Misses M. Lawson, J. Hatton, M. Rowles, J. McKenzie, C. Hardie, of the Wellington Training College, are home for the term holidays.
