FARMERS’ UNION

WOMEN’S DIVISION. RANGITUMAU MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special). The monthly meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Rangitumau Hall, Mrs Wrigley presiding. Mrs C. J. Macdonald won the prize for the best apple pie, and Miss Wrigley drew the lucky number for the wandering shilling. In the competition for the best shoulder spray, Miss C. Duckett was first and Mrs Wrigley second. Mrs Shaw, of Kaituna, gave. a most interesting demonstration on fancy icing. This was greatly appreciated by all present. Mrs Wrigley, on behalf of the branch, thanked Mrs Shaw, and presented her with an autumn tinted shoulder spray. The hostesses, Mrs Wrigley and Mrs E. T. Wilton, provided afternoon tea.
