FATALLY INJURED

CYCLIST STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, May 7. Head injuries received in a collision with a motor car in Rangitikei Street, near Miro Street, shortly after 8 o’clock tonight, resulted in the death of Mr John Sandman, aged about 50, a barman employed at the Family Hotel. Mr Sandman was cycling into town when he was struck, receiving head injuries and severe concussion. He was taken to the Palmerston North Public Hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
