WEDDING
WRAY—POLGLASE. • • The wedding took place recently at the Ballance Methodist Church of Hilda Alexa Saxon, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs L. S. Polglase, and Alfred Lansley, only son of Mr and Mrs Wray, Lower Hutt. The Rev Mr Roberts, Pahiatua, performed the ceremony, and Miss M. Sinclair played the organ. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of white satin trimmed with silver. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a halo of latticed silver cord and orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and carnations. Mr Brian Handcock was best man.
A reception was held in the Ballance Hall, where Mr and Mrs Polglase received the guests, assisted by Mr and Mrs Wray. At night a dance was held.
When Mr and Mrs A. L. Wray left on their honeymoon the latter was wearing a flecked tweed suit in grey blue with a navy hat and shoes, gloves and handbag to tone.
