METHODIST CHURCH
WOMEN’S MISSIONARY AUXILIARY The monthly meeting of the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary of the Masterton Methodist Church took place in the Methodist Schoolroom on Thursday afternoon, Mrs L. Jansen presiding over a large attendance. Opportunity was taken to welcome to the Auxiliary the Rev and Mrs F. J. Parker, who have recently come to Masterton. After the business of the meeting had been disposed of, Mr Parker gave a very interesting talk on a visit to the Maori Mission field at North Auckland, referring more particularly to the work of Sister E. Dobby, who, as a pioneer missionary, had done much for the natives in that district. Mention was also made of the visit to Masterton of the Rev J. Scriven in connection with Foreign Mission work, which will take place in June. A vote of thanks was passed to the hostesses (Mrs C. D. Shoosmith and Miss V. Jackson.
