LAKE OUTLET OPEN
BEARING ON SHOOTING SEASON. Sportsmen and others will be pleased to know that the Wairarapa Lake outlet is open. This has an important bearing on the prospects for the shooting season, which opens on Monday, as if the outlet is closed the lake level is inclined to be unduly high, in which case shooters are handicapped, in some cases to a considerable extent.
