THE TEES DISPUTE

' FURTHER NEGOTIATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. An offer to recommission the steamer Tees for a final trip to the Chatham Islands has been made by Mr J. S. Robertson, managing director of the Westland Shipping Company, following negotiations yesterday with Mr T. H. McCombs, M.P. The offer is conditional on the Seamen’s Union at Wellington supplying a new crew. Mr F. Walsh, president of the union, is expected at Lyttelton tomorrow. Mr McCombs said he expected that the Tees would sail about the end of the week.
