OPTIMIST CLUB

ADDRESS BY MR. J. H. IRVING The weekly meeting of the Masterton Optimist Club was held last night. The speaker was Mr J. H. Irving, who, in the course of his address referred to those factors in life that make for success. Mr Irving went on to illustrate his remarks from war experiences, mentioning in particular the fellowship that existed between the men of the New Zealand and Australian forces. The club president (Mr A. McCormick), thanked Mr Irving, on behalf of the club, for his interesting address. The club having commenced its activities for 1938, membership is open to any young man who is seeking fellowship and education by means of addresses and through self-expression.
