MR. A. M. ONGLEY RETURNED AS PRESIDENT (By Telegraph—Press Association). PALMERSTON NORTH, April 27 It was announced at a meeting of the Manawatu Rugby Union that the only nomination received by the New Zealand Union for the office of president of the latter body was that of Mr A. M. Ongley, president of the Manawatu Union. Congratulations on the honour conferred were expressed. Mr Ongley has been closely associated with the game as a player and administrator. He represented North Otago in 1900 and later Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu. He is well known also in cricket as a player and selector of country teams.
