CHURCH WORKER

PRESENTATION TO MR DENBEE Mr T. T. Denbee, who for over 30 years have been a member of St Matthew’s Vestry and has occupied the position of hon. secretary for many years, has retired from office. At the annual meeting of parishioners last night feeling reference was made to the excellent and sterling work that Mr Denbee had rendered ip such a lengthy period. A hearty vote of thanks and appreciation of Mr Denbee’s services was carried by acclamation. At the conclusion of the meeting of parishioners the Vestry met for a few minutes, and the Vicar, the Rev E. J. Rich, on behalf of the Vestry, expressed his own and the Vestry’s appreciation of the loyal and splendid service that had been given by Mr Denbee and asked him to accept a pipe and tobacco bowl as a token of then- esteem and appreciation.
